Today is about new beginnings. Since embarking on this journey of nutrition and wellness, I have dreamed of having my own website and business. I always had some excuse for why it wasn't going to work "right now".
"I'm too busy."
"I don't have enough money."
"What do I have to say that hasn't already been said?"
Not anymore. The time is now! I'm here to share my passion for healthy food and overall wellness with all of you.
What makes my perspective on wellness unique? I'm a registered dietitian with a master's degree in nutrition education. I have the expertise to talk about the science of why and how we should nourish our bodies with healthy food. It's not always that simple though. Having been diagnosed with Polycysitc Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) as a teenager, I have lived the struggle of weight managment. It's a battle I will continue to fight the rest of my life. Through my personal journey, I've learned (the hard way) that nutrition is NOT one size fits all. It's through trial and error that we find the right balance to achieve overall health.
Everywhere we turn there's a new guru or quick fix to get healthy. Deciphering nutrition fact or fiction can be overwhelming, but I am here to help guide you. It's not fad diets and deprivation that lead us to wellness. It's not a number on the scale or fitting into our skinny jeans. True wellness includes health and happiness. We need to nourish body and soul.
It's not only about the food we eat or the crazy workout we did today. We can't forget the simple happy bits in life that make us smile. All of these things contribute to WELLNESS.
